Welcome to Keystone Performance Horses, located in scenic New Smyrna Beach, Florida. My name is Rachelle Cooper and my focus is simple and intentional: I work with a very select few performance prospects, giving each horse the time, patience, and foundation it needs to reach its full potential. I don’t run a high-volume program; instead, I prefer to invest in quality over quantity, developing each horse slowly, thoughtfully, and with the long game in mind. My training philosophy is rooted in building confidence, consistency, and the kind of foundation that lasts a lifetime.

The name Keystone reflects the heart of that philosophy. In architecture, a keystone is the central, wedge-shaped stone at the top of the arch, the one that locks everything into place. Without it, the entire structure would collapse. It’s small, but critical, a symbol of support, stability, and strength.

That’s the heart of Keystone Performance Horses.

The early stages of a horse's development, those early rides and early lessons, are the keystone of their future. Get it right, and you're not just building a nice horse… you're creating a partner with confidence, balance, and longevity. Skip it or rush it, and everything down the line becomes shaky.

Training at Keystone is about laying the stone that holds everything else together. It’s about developing futurity prospects with the clarity, confidence, and foundation they need to move on to the next level, sound in mind, sound in body, and prepared for the demands of the show pen.
